Boys U14 Dev C Battle Hard Against Epsom

Boys U14 Dev C 1 – 5 Epsom HC BU14 D
On Sunday 10th November the Boys Under 14 Development C Team played Epsom HC. Epsom quickly scored two goals through some great passes which split open our defence. We got back together and held on – but Epsom scored a third goal just before the half time break.
We played some great hockey at the start of the second half – defending short corner threats extremely well. There was some very promising hockey, but a quick counter attack from Epsom gave on of their players their hat trick.
Some quick passing and Freddie S’s pace led to a one on one which was gracefully put into the bottom corner, bringing us to 4-1.
The last play of the game saw Epsom score a short corner – making it 5-1.
Matt W made his debut for the team, displaying his super speed on the wing.
Overall it was a frustrating loss; although it was healed by the amazing homemade Rocky Road from Joe’s mum!
