No! Players of all ages, abilities and experience are welcome at Surbiton HC. Whether you’re a beginner, a social player or an aspiring international, there is a team for you at the club (and a warm off-pitch welcome for social members and Colts parents!). We have 20 adult teams and 50 junior teams – there is something for everyone and we’d love to see you at the club.

We offer various membership categories for everyone from juniors to students, adults, Back 2 Hockey players and social members. You can see membership fees here.

Absolutely. Our Back 2 Hockey programme is the perfect way to give hockey a try before you decide whether you’d like to join a senior team. Find out more information here or email us for more details.

Most of our training and home matches are played at our ground in Sugden Road. The address is Surbiton Hockey Club, Sugden Road, Thames Ditton, KT7 0AE

Goalkeepers have access to specialist GK sessions during the season.

We always have some sticks and basic protective equipment available for new players to borrow. We also have some small goalkeeper kits for junior players to use.

Please note that it is our policy to recommend that players of all ages/abilities always wear shin pads and a mouth guard.

The senior hockey season runs from September through until March/April. For adult players, there is also various informal summer hockey available during the off season, including a 7-aside summer league.

The junior season runs from September until March, with some breaks during school holidays. We also provide a Summer Programme for juniors (which is open to non-members).

The club’s annual Play Day is held in early September every year. This is the best way to meet people and find the team that suits you best. Keep an eye out for details on the club website and social media feeds.

Surbiton HC colours are white, magenta and green. Club kit can be purchased from Tacklebag, our official kit supplier. For more details, see the Club Kit page.
