Last Weekend
Another great weekend in the bar and Snack Shack this week. Thanks to all those that came to the Friday Quiz and congratulations to “It’s My Round” who won the £50 bar tab voucher. The next quiz will be on Friday 1st April so get your team prepared for more fun and frolics.
Thursday Night Zumba
Thursday evening sees the first Zumba session with Ekrem, see page 10 of the newsletter for details.
Sport on TV at SHC & Games Night
This weekend it’s the return of 6 Nations with a Friday night game between Wales and France at 8pm. We’ll have pizzas on until 8.30pm so get your orders in early.
Saturday is also Games Night and we will be showing the UFC Fight Night in the bar after the rest of the rugby, we’ll have sharing nachos platters available to buy to accompany the beer pong, darts and booze.
Mental Health
It is unusual times and I can’t believe we are nearing the end of the season, whilst the world is in complete turmoil we will try and keep the clubhouse a fun environment. There’s lots coming up over the next few weeks, see the Events page for all the details.
If you need any help and support please do not be afraid to ask. The new SHC Club Magazine (which is out online and should be available to read in the clubhouse later this week) also has a focus on mental health.
Coming Up at SHC
April 9th sees our last home matches including both first teams so we want to make it the biggest day ever. It will be a Mexican theme so dig out your sombreros and dodgy moustaches! We will have lots of deals behind the bar, tequila at the ready and DJ Lee will be on the decks. Our £6 entry fee allows us to provide the best player opportunities, develop our facility and most importantly helps create the best club atmosphere out there.
Also coming post-season is Bowden Smith & his Blues Revue on Saturday 7th May and Eurovision night on 14th May.
Summer League also starts on 9th May. It had a great vibe last year so get your team together for more fun on those balmy summer evenings.
Membership Cards
We have now given out 246 membership cards. It is tricky to allocate them at busy times so try and pick them up before adult training (or during for the Colts parents).

Over 8,000 items sold in Feb…
- Amstel leads the way from the taps with 783 pints, a new second place spot for Guinness
- PG has retained the hot drinks trophy with 430 cups of tea vs 369 hot chocolates
- 79 measures of Vodka vs 75 of Gin
- Sauvignon Blanc is by far the best selling wine though still only makes up 1.28% of our total sales.
- Corona was the best-selling bottled beer although it was beaten by the collective total of Kopparbergs
- Magic stars (106) are the go to chocolate and Salt & Vinegar (94) the run-away crisp favourite
- 57 Muffins means they are a great addition to the bar offering
