Sparks 2 - 2 Spencer 5s (A)

After a convincing win the week before, a youthful sparks team were ready and raring to play against Spencer.
The game began quickly with some accurate passing and some excellent pressing orchestrated by Sunny, but an unfortunate miscommunication meant that Spencer were able to open the scoring. However, their lead was quickly quashed by a skilful run by Lisa along the baseline, ending with a flick in the net to draw the Sparks level at half time.
The second half began in a similar fashion to the first, with lots of quick passing to try and break through the tough press, with a special mention to Neve for her excellent drives along the baseline splitting their defence in half to feed the circle.
After conceding another unfortunate goal, the Sparks had a short corner. Courtney struck the ball beautifully, bringing us level once again to finish the second half.
A good performance all round, with lots to improve on leading into the rest of the season.
