Ladies 5s Lose Out to Strong Spencer

Ladies 5s 1 – 6 Spencer 2s
After an "accidental" visit to the men's changing room by Emma... the match got off to a good (but cold start)! The first 20 minutes of the first half were very even, both teams having opportunities in the D, with Cara having a very close call 1-on-1 with their goalie. They scored in quick succession towards the end of the first half, from well thought-out short corners and a drive into the D.
We came into the second half raring to go and eager to get some points on the scoreboard. We continued to move the ball well and made some great transfers, with our forwards making some great runs into the D, and winning numerous short corners. They had a break away halfway through the second half to score their fourth goal, with their fifth and sixth coming close behind from more short corners (and a defender deflection!).
Still desperate to get ourselves a goal, we won a short corner with a few minutes to go and the whole team pushed up to try and get that ball across the line... Cara finally got that goal, and we finished the match with a score of 6-1 to Spencer 2s.
