L3 Bring Back 3 Points from East London
By Leah Wiles
Ladies 3s 2 – 1 East London 2s
After having received only a one pointer the previous weekend, the Ladies 3s travelled all the way to Lee Valley looking to secure three points.
The game started off very evenly matched with Emily Saywers scoring an an early goal to put us 1-0 ahead. Despite some incredible saves from Lyra Gavino, East London scored one back to tie the match before half time.
Being patient in the second half, Caragh Haspel finally managed to get the ball in the back of the net placing us back on top. A calm and collected team spirit controlled the game and landed us with a 2-1 win and the three points we deserved.
Well done to Caragh for winning Player of the Match for her outstanding efforts and cracking goal – we’re expecting more next weekend!
