L2 Lead IWHL Conference West By Two Points After Win At Clifton

Surbiton Ladies' second team incredibly are the only team in the Investec Women's Hockey League Conference West with maximum points after two games following their 3-1 win away to Clifton Robinsons' second team.
Surbiton led 1-0 at half time after Peggy Winterborn put the visitors ahead in the 20th minute. Maud Blokland added a second goal in the 47th minute from a penalty corner and captain, Hannah Denison gave Surbiton a 3-0 lead in the 51st minute.
Jenny Hughes scored a consolation goal in the 53rd minute, but Surbiton lead second placed Exe by two points.
Surbiton play Exe at Sugden Road in an early top of the table clash on Saturday (12th October) at 2 pm following Surbiton Ladies' Premier Division clash with Bowdon Hightown.
