The whistle went and Woking came out hard, but Surbiton defence held their form and gave no let up – nothing would get past them today!
After a nail biting first 35 minutes, Ethan H kept a calm head and having dribbled past a couple of defenders threaded home the first goal. Quality finish! Shortly after, the whistle went and the team could take a well earned break and focus on the final spell of the game.
With 20 minutes to go Surbiton’s fitness shone through and as they pushed hard with unrelenting attacks into the Woking half. The team started to use the space, create some amazing flowing moves and it wasn’t long before Woking started to struggle to deal with the quality and speed of play.
The third 20 minutes saw Surbiton really pull together with a huge show of effort from every single player culminating in two goals from Joseph D and a hatrick from Ray.
