Back 2 Hockey Players Enjoy Mixed Game

The Back 2 Hockey programme has been fantastic this term and we have over 50 members who train on a Tuesday night from 8.30 – 9.30pm with Tarek and Fran as our brilliant coaches. 

The B2Hers are a mix of people who have never played, some who played a long time ago (Robbie Trimble 31 years… I think) and others who have taken a few years off.

We try to arrange 11-aside games twice a year so that everyone gets to see what a ‘full game’ is like, and might encourage them to join one of the club teams… Ladies Sirens or Men’s Cobras, Mongooses or Sparticans.

A game was organised for last Sunday and we had a great turn out with two goalkeepers (Natalie and Silke), two umpires (Wendy and Dawn) and 22 people in total playing. A good competitive game resulted in a final score of 4-3 to the ‘light / white team’.
