Rory Penrose Joins M1 for 26/27 Season

Surbiton HC is delighted to announce that up and coming GB talent Rory Penrose will join the Men’s 1s for the new season following a season overseas at German club Harvestehude THC.
Former Loughborough University player Rory made his senior debut for England Men in the FIH Pro League in 2024 and was also part of GB U21’s Sultan of Johor Cup winning side in the same year.
Rory says, “I’m looking forward to joining Surbiton and competing for trophies both at the domestic and European level. There’s a lot of talent in the group and I’m excited about the potential of the squad to achieve great things.”
M1 Head Coach Barry Middleton is pleased with the squad’s first new signing of the summer: “Rory is an incredibly talented player and I look forward to seeing the impact he will have for us on and off the pitch. He offers a great range of passing and a corner threat that will add more even more quality to our group."
