Lizzy Pocknell Signs for New Season

Surbiton HC is excited to announce that Lizzy Pocknell will join the Women’s 1s team next season having signed from Durham University.
England U21 international and Junior World Cup player Lizzy was also a huge influence on Durham’s success in their maiden Premier Division season, captaining the side to a hugely impressive England Hockey Finals Weekend appearance at the first time of asking.
Lizzy says, “I’m really looking forward to joining Surbiton this season. I’m excited to play with so many talented players and to help contribute to the club’s success in the seasons to come. I can’t wait to get started!”
W1 Head Coach Dave Beckett is pleased to add Lizzy to a strong squad for next season: “We are thrilled that Lizzy is joining us. Having captained Durham to their best ever season, we know that Lizzy will add quality to our team from a hockey viewpoint, as well as bringing the mindset and character we are looking for.”
