Up & Coming GB Star Jake Payton Joins SHC

Surbiton HC is excited to announce that Jake Payton will join the club for the 2024/25 season.
Attacker Jake has been playing his club hockey at Exeter University and is a current member of the Great Britain Elite Development Programme with aspirations to make the step up to the senior programme in the coming years. He is a great fit for the Men’s 1s as the squad evolves, bringing an attacking dynamism that will add another dimension to the team’s style of play.
Coach Barry Middleton says, “I am pleased to welcome Jake to the M1 squad and look forward to him making an impact with his exciting elimination skills. It’s brilliant to work with promising young players and Jake has a big future ahead of him.”
Jake comments, “I am really excited about the opportunity to get involved with the new performance programme at Surbiton. With the players and coaching team it will hopefully be a perfect fit to continue my development and enjoy lots of team success as well.”
