By Colin Pike

Surbiton Ladies visit Beeston on Saturday for their second Vitality Women's Hockey League Premier Division League Finals Pool A match (push back 2 pm at Nottingham Hockey Centre).

Surbiton have a one hundred per cent record at Nottingham Hockey Centre going back to 2013-14 when Beeston first played in the Premier Division. Surbiton have won all six matches including in November 2022, when they won 3-1. Giselle Ansley, Darcy Bourne and Amy Costello scored for Surbiton, Hannah Grieve scoring for Beeston.

Beeston lost 4-1 at Sugden Road on 26 February, Lauren Burrell putting Beeston ahead before Sophie Hamilton, Leah Wilkinson, Izzy Petter and Hannah Martin all scored after half time.

The match can be streamed live via Bee TV on You Tube here

Last weekend, Beeston began their Pool A campaign by leading 2-0 at East Grinstead, only for the West Sussex club to fight back for a 3-2 victory.

Surbiton beat the University of Birmingham 4-0 at Sugden Road to go top of Pool A on goal difference after the first round of matches.

The University of Birmingham are on their travels again on Saturday when they visit East Grinstead (push back 1600).

In Pool B, Clifton Robinsons , who won 2-1 at Hampstead & Westminster, host Wimbledon, the other winners on Day 1, with a 2-0 home win over the University of Nottingham.

The University of Nottingham make their second trip to London in successive weekends as they visit Hampstead & Westminster.

In the relegation playoffs, Holcombe could be relegated if Reading beat already relegated, Buckingham and Holcombe fail to beat Loughborough Students at home.
