THIS SATURDAY
: It’s the highlight of the winter social calendar, the world famous SHC Cocktail Party, which this year has a Great Gatsby theme, so don your vintage tux or flapper dress and head down to the Sugden Speakeasy. Tickets are still available through Teamo.

We will be doing a Happy Hour for the football before the party starts which will be 20% off any jug from 6.30 -7.30pm for Cocktail Party ticket holders so no excuses not to get your pre drinks in at the club and watch England take on France in the World Cup quarter final in your finery!

Here’s the Gatsby-inspired cocktails & shots menu for Saturday evening…

  • Gatsby Gin Rickey
  • Gatsby Bourbon Rickey
  • Golden VBL
  • Dark & Stormy
  • Jammy Dodger
  • Baby Guinness

Don’t forget your membership cards so you can redeem all those points you’ve been collecting.

LAST WEEKEND: A huge thank you to Alison and the whole team for making sure everything was covered this weekend it was a busy one with the quiz, the Russell Cooke Ladies Day and the President’s Lunch… but are we going to dwell on it? No, we are not!

Friday’s Quiz Night was great fun - thanks to all who attended and congratulations to our winning team.

200 CLUB: Thanks to Lucy Lawson from Russell Cooke who drew the ball for the 200 Club on Saturday. Congratulations to the winner, Jane Green.

CAR PARKING SPACE AUCTION: It’s the final few days to place a bid in our parking space auction. Bids close on December 11th so if you fancy exclusive use of your own space for the whole of 2023 then place a bid here

REUSABLE CUPS: These have already been a huge hit and Rory bought 15 so the whole Men’s 4s team has one and they will be fined if they lose it… great idea Rory! The Beeston fans seemed less impressed about being the proud owners of a Surbiton cup but I’m sure they’ll learn to love them.

FEELING THE COLD? Hand & foot warmers are now available to buy at £1 per pair behind the bar.

WORLD CUP SWEEPSTAKE: Excitement is ramping up for those who joined the World Cup Sweepstake. There are prizes for every team that makes the semi finals, so some crunch games to come in the quarter final fixtures this weekend:

  • James W (NED) vs Jess L (ARG)
  • David C (FRA) vs Ann B (ENG)
  • Mark W (CRO) vs Sian C (BRA)
  • Zak P (MOR) vs Lilie L (POR)
