The latest from the Clubhouse Team...

We have not produced a teas menu for this week, we potentially have two matches but will wait and see what the weather has in store.

COCKTAIL PARTY: Thank you to everyone that came to the cocktail night, I think fun was had by all, despite the football result!

FUNCTION ROOM & POOL TABLE: We are currently decorating the function room and look forward to the arrival of the pool table on 4th January!

There are a few regular daytime bookings coming through for the room but we are keen to get more so if you know anyone that is looking for a space we would love to hear from them.

CAR PARK AUCTION: Congratulations and thanks to Roger Hitch for his winning bid for the space in the SHC car park, this will be in place in the New Year.

100% of the proceeds from this auction go towards the fundraising for club development.

VACANCIES IN THE CLUBHOUSE TEAM: We are looking to bolster the bar & hut team so please get in touch if you are interested in either.

THANK YOU'S... Huge thanks to my ever expanding team for their work in the first half of the season. I am sure you will all agree that my right hand (wo)man Alison has been a great addition and has introduced so much to our offering. Chefs - Oli, Hugh, Debbie & Theresa, who continue to serve up amazing match teas. Bartenders - Harry, Nicola, Shannon & Zac who keep you all suitably refreshed. Catering team – Jack, Phoebe, Anna, Cris & Pippa are the youngsters in the Snack Shack who are gradually making their way over to the bar.

Our volunteers – Tony Portelly & Charlie who help keep the place running, Mark who keeps the grounds in tip top condition and last but by no means least your board who give an enormous amount of time to keeping the club running.

The time has also come to say goodbye to Jacqui who leaves us after many years as she goes off to enjoy retirement. Thank you for all your help Jacqui, I for one, will miss our conversations and the huge amount of support and knowledge you have given.

WORLD CUP SWEEPSTAKE: The semi finals are upon us! All four semi finalists have guaranteed themselves a cash prize... come down to the club to watch all remaining World Cup games live and see who takes the top spot and £200 of winnings!

CHRISTMAS CLOSING: The bar will be closed from 19th - 31st December and will reopen on 1st Jan for the New Year's Day matches

MERRY CHRISTMAS: If I don’t see you before I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a new year full of fun and frolics. Thank you for being a “not too bad” bunch.
