Preview: 2021/22 Premier League Starts This Weekend

We are looking forward to the return of Premier League hockey as our Ladies and Men’s first teams commence their new campaigns this weekend.
It’s been a long 11 months since our first teams last took to the field for a competitive match, and there’s plenty of excitement as we welcome a number of new and returning faces to Surbiton colours for the 2021/22 season.
The Ladies 1s travel to Bristol on Saturday to take on Clifton Robinsons. Following several high quality warm up matches in recent weeks, head coach Brett Garrard will hand Surbiton debuts to a number of new recruits. It looks like an exciting season ahead for the L1s and the team will look to kickstart their campaign and get three points on the board.

Sunday sees the long-awaited return of Premier League hockey to Sugden Road, with our Men’s 1s playing against Holcombe HC at 2.30pm. A number of Tokyo Olympians and former SHC Colts will be in action and it should be a fantastic day of top class hockey at the club. Get your season tickets or enter on the gate (£6 for adults, Under 18s go free).
