Covid Guidance at SHC: July 2021 Update

22nd July 2021

By Surbiton HC

With the change in the legal requirements around covid guidance on 19 July 2021, we would like to draw your attention to the updated guidance from England Hockey.

While legal requirements have changed, Surbiton HC will be maintaining or encouraging certain measures especially in light of the increasing covid case numbers that we are currently experiencing. Our priority is to keep all our members, visitors, staff and volunteers safe and we encourage all club users to show respect and understanding of each other when using the Club facilities.

Read our summary of the latest club guidance below or click here to access England Hockey’s latest advice.

Face Coverings: we will continue to encourage the use of face coverings when inside the clubhouse, toilets or changing rooms.

Ventilation: the marquee will remain on site and the use of our outdoor hospitality facilities will be encouraged. Ventilation indoors will be enhanced by keeping widows and doors open as far as possible.

Table service: will continue, although you will now be able to order from the bar counter too.

Hygiene: we will continue to provide hand sanitiser at stations around the club and on the pitches and you are encouraged to wash or sanitise your hands before, during and after attendance. Enhanced cleaning of surfaces and facilities will continue.

Social distancing and group sizes: while there are no legal limitations or restrictions, please respect each other’s right to space and consider good practice when in crowded situations.

Track and Trace: we will continue to display the NHS QR Code and the Teamo Play Safe QR code and encourage you to check in on arrival.

Self-assessment: please continue to self-assess for covid symptoms before arrival at the club. These are (although are not exclusive to): A new, continuous cough; loss or change to sense of smell or taste; a raised temperature. Please do not attend if you are experiencing symptoms, have tested positive or have been instructed to self-isolate.

Reporting to Covid Officer: Please continue to report positive tests / symptoms if these occurred within 48 hours of the last attendance to the Covid Officer, Liselle Carey: junioradmin@surbitonhc.com
