The latest from Ann, our Bar, Catering & Facilities Manager...

Wow, what a brilliant weekend! It was great to see so many people back on the pitches (and also back on the pitchers).

Thank you so much to all for observing the one way systems and maintaining your social distancing. Please continue to do your bit on this! We're obviously experimenting with what works and what doesn't so thank you for your patience, the team are working incredibly hard to ensure we keep you safe but also maintain a level of SHC fun.

This may sound obvious but if you are just back from holiday and have to quarantine according to the government guidelines please do not come to the club during the quarantine period.

For now there will be no access to changing rooms or showers.

We have said goodbye to a few of the staff but also hello to others. Thanks to Rachel, Sky and Joe for their work over last season, and welcome to Ed behind the bar and Harry in the tea hut. The well-known face of Sophia will also be stepping aside from her tea hut duties and training behind the bar in time for when she turns 18. I'm sure you'll make them feel incredibly welcome. We still have a vacancy for one more member of bar staff.

We have been trialing opening the bar at 3pm on a Friday afternoon and will continue with this whilst the weather is nice enough to make use of the stretch tent.

MATCH TEAS UPDATE

This week the chefs are back providing the finest of match teas. Please let me know numbers and dietary requirements by Wednesday. Please ensure you arrive promptly for your slot with opposition and umpires / officials.

Each match will have 30 mins for teas, drinks will be served to your table, please ensure all dishes, cutlery etc are placed in the dirties area before you leave.
