Pro League Call Ups for Nine Surbiton Players

Surbiton HC will have nine representatives across the two squads on Great Britain’s upcoming Pro League trip to the Netherlands and Belgium.

SHC provides seven of the nineteen men selected for the trip. Alan Forsyth, James Gall, Tom Sorsby, Luke Taylor and Zach Wallace all get the nod from coach Danny Kerry for their first taste of competitive international action in several months.

Brendan Creed makes his return to GB colours after over a year out with a serious knee injury, while Dave Goodfield is set to make his first England or GB appearance in two years and may achieve his 50^th combined cap during the trip.

Ladies 1s players Sarah Evans and Sabbie Heesh are two of the more familiar names in a fresh-faced women’s squad, with Evans set to make her first international appearance of the year after missing pre-lockdown games in Australia and New Zealand in February.

Giselle Ansley, Hannah Martin and Emily Defroand miss out as they continue to rehabilitate from injuries, while goalkeeper Harry Gibson stays at home on this occasion, meaning he will be available for the M1 game against Oxted on Saturday evening.

All matches will be available to watch on BT Sport, with both games against the Netherlands on Tuesday 27^th October free-to-air via the BT sport app.
