Leaving Lockdown:
A Message from Your Club Captain

25th November 2020

By Surbiton HC

Club Captain Sian Craze provides an update on what to expect over the next few days as we get closer to a return to hockey at SHC…

I hope everyone has managed to survive the ‘hockeyless’ November and has enjoyed some of the team challenges that have been going round. With lockdown lifting next week I know everyone is excited to get out and play hockey as quickly as possible.

Please bear with us while we gain all the facts and put together our return to hockey. I know most leagues are keen to get everything up and running on the 5th of December, but different (and possibly stricter) tiers could make some hockey and travel tricky moving forward.

The tier system will also have an impact on the bar and maybe our much-loved teas, so please bear with us on that one too. Social distancing conduct both on and off the pitch is still going to be a huge factor so do remind yourselves of the rules on the website.

Please continue to monitor your emails and the club website over the next few days as updates and information from the club, England Hockey and leagues are posted.

Can’t wait to play and watch some hockey as soon as we get the go ahead!
