EH Indicates Move to Stage 4 of Return to Play

9th August 2020

By Surbiton HC

We are pleased to report that England Hockey has announced that a move to Stage 4 of their ‘Return to Play’ protocol is now allowed.

This is great news! However, while we understand that many of you will be excited to get back to tackling, gameplay and full pre-season activity, please note that a number of protocols will need to be fully operational to ensure that our move to Stage 4 is safe and meets the requirements put in place.

It is vital that club members continue to adhere to the existing guidelines until we have the appropriate measures in place to allow this to happen. We hope to have these new protocols arranged imminently so please look out for more details on the club website and newsletter in the next few days. Until further information is published, this means:

  • No tackling or gameplay
  • Continue to maintain social distancing whenever you’re at SHC
  • Small groups of up to 6 on and off the hockey pitch
