Bring a Friend Day: This Sunday!

We are looking forward to our second free hockey taster day of the summer, taking place at SHC on Sunday 23rd August.
This is a great chance to experience hockey at SHC and get a feel for the club – we were delighted to received lots of sign ups for new members after our first Bring a Friend Day earlier in July.
Current SHC members are welcome to attend as long as they bring a non-member friend with them and all non-members can attend with or without a friend.
Your one hour pitch session will include basic skills training and some small sided age appropriate game play. This will be followed by a free drink and snack in our outdoor covered seating area where you and your parents will be able to meet and chat to your coach and other SHC representatives.
Free teas and coffee will be available to parents, while bacon sandwiches and other delights will be available from our porch bar.
Sanitised sticks may be borrowed if needed; and we will have a small number of basic mouthguards for sale but it is recommended that all players have shin pads and mouthguards before entering the pitch.
Session timings are as follows:
- 09.30 – 11.00 - Mixed U8s (session 1)
- 11.15 – 12.45 - Girls and Boys U10s
- 13.00 – 14.30 - Girls and Boys U12s; Mixed U8s (session 2)
