17 Colts Reach Next Round of NAGS Assessment

Congratulations to the Surbiton Colts who have made it through to the next round of NAGS Assessments following the trial days during October half term.
We are pleased to report that 17 SHC players from across the Girls and Boys U16 and U18 groups have been selected into the next phase of England Age Group squads for the 2020/21 season.

This is a fantastic reflection on the junior section of the club and we wish all our players who are involved the best of luck for the next step.
As always, some players have also been left disappointed by the news that they won’t be moving forward in the selection process at this stage, but as our own Jimmy Culnane (SHC, SHS and part of the England BU18 coaching team) tweeted:
“Congrats to those who have been selected for phase two. To those that haven’t been selected this time… this doesn’t define you. It is just a speed bump in your journey. Keep enjoying the game and remember why you started playing! Opportunity will knock again.”
