M1's Zach Wallace Up for World Rising Star Award
The club is incredibly proud of M1 and GB star Zach Wallace, who has been shortlisted for the FIH Rising Star Award 2019.
Having made his debut in late 2018, 20 year old Zach has had a fantastic year in England and GB colours. He has made 25 senior international appearances this year, as well as helping the England Under 21 side take out a European silver medal. Zach was also part of the GB team that successfully secured Olympic qualification in November.
It has been fantastic to see Zach step up so seamlessly to international hockey having seen him demonstrate exciting, consistent and mature performances for the Surbiton first team over recent seasons.
