Men’s 2s 1 - 0 Old Loughtonians 1s (H)

Gameday: 14th March 2026

By Mark Haycroft

This week, I thought it best to save you from an awful AI attempt from Nic Morgan, as he was the recipient of DOD. However, Mr. Uppers has requested that I refrain from writing an essay, so my apologies to those who enjoy the in-depth description and literary journey that you usually embark on whilst reading my match reports.

So, without further ado, Surbiton M2s vs Old Loughtonians: Surbiton going into the game with three wins from the last three games. The Seals started brightly, earning a PC early on. No goal. Cagey first half, chances for both teams, more for Surbiton. 0-0 at half time.

Just as cagey a second half, Surbiton with more chances, Old Loughts without many but missing a few open goals. Surbiton didn’t concede any PCs during the game but won a few, and Luke Taylor scored their fourth attempt.

1-0 win. Four wins from four and one point needed for safety from the last two games. Fairly unenjoyable game, at times again, but job done.

Nic Morgan returned and provided comedic entertainment and earned DOD. Faz absolutely ridiculing the Old Loughts defence and earning POM, along with bringing a delicious baking experiment. Mature team experience, frustrating at times but kept calm and rightly took all three points. Two to play!
