BU14 Scorpions Start 2026 With a Bang

After some disappointing losses at the end of 2025, the BU14 Scorpions team have started 2026 with a bang. The New Year began with a hard-fought Cup win in freezing conditions against Blackheath and Eltham. The teams showed glimpses of their potential but played with grit and determination throughout. It was 3-3 at the full time whistle: with a result required the game went to a a penalty shoot-out. After Christian opened up the scoring, GK Josh made some excellent saves leaving Will to deliver the winning shuffle for a 2-1 win on penalty shoot out.
The following week, the team ground out another hard fought and gritty come back from a 0-1 deficit to win against a spirited Wimbledon Tornadoes. GK Josh had a superb game keeping the team in the fight in the first half. With a few players missing and a few new faces the team travelled to deepest SE London for a league game against Bromley & Beckenham. Led by coach Taheem the team showed their potential to play fantastic team hockey with periods of slick passing and interplay. With two goals from Daniel and one each from Henry, Harry, Ethan K and Ethan T the team came away with a very satisfying 6-1 win.
