Women’s 3s 3 - 1 Wimbledon 3s (A)

Surbiton 3s arrived bright and early to their must win match against Wimbledon at Raynes Park High school (with the exception of Ottie, who made an epic effort to get to the game via Ubers etc). After a good warm up and some words of wisdom from Tarek the team started positively and were in control.
After lots of pressure and possession, Surbiton went 1 - 0 up, after a well taken goal from Strachs, a strike from the top of the D. Surbiton continued to dominate and were rewarded with another goal, this time expertly finished by Chandler.
The second half started with a roll of thunder and some flashes of lightning, although the heavens never actually opened. However, Wimbledon started aggressively and within minutes had scored. Surbiton then, were under pressure for a lot of the second half with Bex having to make some important saves and everyone working hard for each other to hold on to the lead. Surbiton still tried to play positively, chasing down Wimbledon’s defence and in the last few minutes won a short corner which was converted by Strachs.
The game ended 3 - 1 to Surbiton. A well deserved victory.
