SHC Snails (WO45s) 0 - 7 Guildford WO45s (H)

After arriving five minutes late it was obvious that the Snails were up against it - Guildford, last year’s cup finalists were out for a win.

However the Snails managed to keep it 0-0 for the first 20 minutes of the game. With the defence making several excellent tackles and Silke flying between each of her posts.

The first half ended 3-0 to Guildford with a couple of fantastic short corners and a great goal from open play. Spuggie then took an inspiring half time talk where she gave the players the confidence to move the ball around in triangles.

The pace of the game was fast and there were lots of rapid changes to keep the momentum going, however they weren’t able to stop the Guildford forwards from attacking.

The second half finished 4-0 to Guildford who were deserved winners and carry on in the Tier 1 competition. The Snails now move into the plate.

Well done to Silke, who was Player of the Match with her multiple saves.
