A Busy Weekend for Surbiton’s Juniors

Our SHC Juniors had a busy weekend with various tournaments and festivals taking place as well as league and cup games.
Well done to our Girls U10 and U12 who came out victorious at the annual Canterbury Tournament, with our Boys U10 and U12 also bringing home silver medals. A great effort from all involved with some fantastic hockey played despite the horrible weather!
There was also a busy programme of league and rearranged cup fixtures for our junior sides, with some great results and performances across the board. Click here to view the results on the England Hockey website.
Our Girls U12 Red and Yellow pool players took part in some creative team building activities, while our U6 and U8 mixed groups played in festivals at the club alongside youngsters from Old Cranleighans, Guildford, Wimbledon, Spencer, Indian Gymkhana and Tulse Hill & Dulwich. It was amazing to see over 250 juniors playing festival hockey at the club throughout the day!
A number of current SHC juniors were also involved in the Women’s 1s silver medal at the National Indoor Finals Day on Sunday. Amie, Charley and Sophie were all part of the squad on the day while Mollie and Valentina acted as the team’s mascots. Well done to all involved!
