The Jokers were greeted by sun, rain, hail and then sun again, upon arrival in Chiswick to play London Wayfarers 4s, and it was a similar mixed bag on the pitch too.
Against another younger and fitter opposition, the Jokers found themselves 2-0 down before two fine flicks from Trev, one from a short corner and one from the p-spot, restored parity.
The Wayfarers hit back quickly however and ran out 4-2 winners in a hard fought match on a decent, slick pitch.
The Jokers looked good at times, transferring the ball quickly and retaining possession well. Attitude and effort are never in question with this group of players and everyone worked tirelessly on a warm day with few subs.
Calvin put in a huge shift, often being the last line of defence having tracked back from centre forward. JJ struck the ball sweetly on several occasions, one was unfortunately after the whistle had gone though and as a result he was allowed to sit down for five minutes.
Many thanks to Kieran for stepping in to good effect up front, and congrats to midweek birthday boy, Big T, who celebrated with a couple of full length diving saves.
