Lionesses Put In a Good Cup Performance

SHC Lionesses 0 – 2 Knole Park
An exciting cup game for the Lionesses this weekend. We knew this was going to be a tough match against Knole Park but Billy gave us an inspiring team talk beforehand. We changed tactics this week with a new formation to give us the best chance against this team, and we were ready for the fight.
We had amazing support from the touchline which definitely inspired our team to beat away the waves of attack. In spite of losing 2-0, a commendable final scoreline, Georgie our goalkeeper and all of our defence made some absolutely incredible saves. Georgie deservedly got POM. Despite a lot of defending, we still created a few chances to score on the counter attack.
In spite of the umpire awarding a green card to Emma, unfortunately the team decided that DoD was myself for a swing and a miss, whilst falling over my own feet, as the ball slowly rolled out.
Over all this was a tough match but a gutsy performance from the Lionesses.
