Mongooses Lose Out to Woking Wasps
By James Hamper
Mongooses 0 – 1 Woking Wasps
Player of the Match: James Evans
Mongooses had an early life lesson in the difficulty of taking on established teams who have a couple of wiry old hands controlling the midfield and a super keeper filling in. Although they dominated for periods of the game, the possession couldn’t be converted to goals and in the end the missed chances cost them.
One opposition wonder strike from a short corner and the points were gone!
The Colts did themselves proud with the usual determination and strong running but in the end it wasn’t enough to bring home the bacon.
Looking forward to next week’s home game and a chance to get back to winning ways (and more importantly home teas!).
