Surbiton have reached the final on both occasions that the Super 6s finals have previously been held at Derby Arena, but having lost 6-1 to East Grinstead in 2024 and 6-3 in 2025, they will have to beat the reigning champions to make it a hat-trick of final appearances at the East Midlands venue.
If Surbiton reach the final they will play either Sutton Coldfield, who benefitted from Sally Walton's previous experience with Bowdon and Buckingham to finish top of the Premier Division table, or Holcombe, who finished fourth, a point ahead of Clifton Robinsons, at 1540.
The top two goalscorers in the Premier Division: East Grinstead's Biba Mills, who finished with 25 goals and Surbiton's Erica Sanders, who netted on 21 occasions will come up against each other in the second semi-final.
When the teams met in the qualifiers, they couldn't be separated in a 3-3 draw. Surbiton led 2-0 after 13 minutes thanks to Josie Hippe and Sanders before East Grinstead fought back to 2-2 courtesy of Annelyse Tevant and Mills. Katie Southorn restored Surbiton's lead at the end of the third quarter but Chloe Brown preserved the West Sussex club's unbeaten record eight minutes from time.
Surbiton also met their potential final opponents over the first weekend, beating Holcombe 8-4 but suffering their only defeat to Sutton Coldfield 6-4 with Walton scoring four goals as the West Midlands club finished two points ahead of East Grinstead.
Buckingham and Beeston were relegated from the Premier Division and will be replaced by Bowdon and Lansdown, who are based in Cheltenham. Leicester City and Canterbury dropped down to Division Two with Hampstead & Westminster and Southgate moving up to Division One.
