Note of Condolence: Paul Whelan

It is with great sadness that we report the recent passing of Paul ‘Ronnie’ Whelan following a short illness.

In the words of Rob Dunn in his message this week to our Old Members, Paul was a ‘true club stalwart and a really lovely man. He will be greatly missed’.

A full obituary will appear during the forthcoming season in the club newsletter and on our website, reflecting Ronnie’s very lengthy tenure as a club member. A private funeral is being held in early August, with a memorial event being planned for the future.

Paul was cared for during his illness by the Midhurst Palliative Care team from the Midhurst Macmillan Service and should any club member wish to donate to this charity in Paul’s memory, details are here
