Nick Nurse Set to Join Brother Tim at SHC

Surbiton HC is delighted to announce the signing of Nick Nurse from Exeter University.
Former England U21 and GB EDP player Nick is a versatile attacking half-back and will play alongside brother Tim from the start of next season. As well as what he brings from a hockey viewpoint Nick has consistently shown his leadership skills having captained England junior teams as he has risen through the ranks.
Coach Barry Middleton says, “Nick reads the game exceptionally well but also provides a real attacking threat having scored a good number of goals for Exeter last season. He’ll be a great addition to the team on and off the pitch and I’m pleased to have him on board.”
Nick comments, “I’m really excited to be joining the best club in the UK. It is an amazing opportunity to be able to learn and play alongside top class players and coaches. Training full time with the club's new performance programme will greatly support my development and I am excited to contribute to the club’s future success.”
