More Information on B2H’s Saturday Game Play

Back 2 Hockey Saturday Game Play (GP) sessions from 11am - 12pm take place three times a month.
These sessions are open to all registered B2H members where those taking part are carefully selected into the two teams of a minimum of six. We often have Ali Hitch, from the club’s coaching pool, to attend and guide us through how to play the game of 7s as we prepare to take part in the 2025 Summer League with both Men’s and Women’s teams.
These GP sessions are also open (by invitation) to other players in the club: those not selected for the bottom two league sides for their league game that Saturday; and for players of both genders in the bottom three sides who wish to recover from injury in a slower and more controlled environment than usual. If any club member should fall into either of these two categories and wishes to take part, they should contact Roger at B2H via email backtohockey@surbitonhc.com.
We have our own set of clean bibs so integration is seamless! The club’s standard lunch is available afterwards together with the usual interrogation of the session over a pint or two and the club match fee via Teamo.
It should be noted that apart from previously booked sessions, Pitch 3 is officially allocated to B2H sessions from 10:00am to 13:00pm exclusively every Saturday, and when we are not specifically ‘on-pitch’ during our allocated times above, it can be used by any club member/visiting teams to warm up. We have a temporary “Game Play in Progress” or “7s Tournament in Progress” notice, which is placed on the entrance gate to inform players of our attendance.
