B2H – Meet the Committee!

7th October 2024

By Roger Hitch

All large groups of people need managing, and we are no exception. Now we have upwards of eighty members, we need to keep them motivated, busy, organised and progressive. Maintaining our rate of progress takes a group of the right people doing the right jobs.

Following on from the B2H successes of the past, the current B2H committee has such people working hard for the benefit of the members on a daily basis. Most of this is done behind the scenes and it is important that the results of this work are correct and rolled out in a controlled and well thought out manner. To meet the committee members and find out what they bring to the development of B2H, read on...

Get involved!

With the intention of introducing performance prizes for developing members, we need someone to take on the role of Merchandising Officer who will be responsible for choosing printed items for the prizes (examples of which could be “Player of the Month”, “Player of the Term”, Player of the Year”, “Best Halloween costume”, and so on). We are also looking into making a B2H training shirt available supporting the club’s chosen charity and other items such as mugs, hats, polo shirts etc so members can promote B2H within and outside the club. Please contact Roger on backtohockey@surbitonhc.com or speak to him at B2H if you’re interested!

Next week’s article is “Our Coaching Scheme and its Success”, where we explore how our specialised coaching enabled us to achieve greatness last season.
