M1 Meet KHC Dragons In EHL FINAL8 on Friday

Having beaten French club Saint Germain 7-2 in KO12 on Wednesday, Surbiton Men face a tougher task in FINAL 8 at 1245 BST on Friday when they meet Belgian club, KHC Dragons in the Wagener Stadium in Amsterdam.
Surbiton will be hoping that their luck changes against Belgian clubs in the ABN Amro EHL FINAL/ KO8 as in their last two meetings they have lost out on a shootout after a 1-1 draw.
In 2019 they lost 4-2 in the shootout to Waterloo Ducks, the eventual winners in Eindhoven and in the EHL Ranking Cup in Brasschaat in Belgium, they lost 3-1 in the shootout to KHC Dragons.
This will be Surbiton's first match at the FINAL8 stage as they also lost in the KO16 in Eindhoven in 2014, Oranje Zwart prevailing 3-1 after Surbiton had progressed past SV Arminen of Austria and with Real Club de Polo of Spain in Barcelona.
Surbiton's 7-2 win was their biggest victory in the Euro Hockey League since they first competed in 2013-14.
