That was another bonkers busy weekend!
Thanks to all that attended the L1 Boozy Bingo, a select few but there was lots of laughter filling the clubhouse. Sunday was also a great day with the Captain’s Lunch followed by the M1 win against East Grinstead. Big thanks to the kitchen team who served up a huge array of food for around 400 people over the two days. Also a thank you to the M1 team who helped us clear the room in order to set up the playgroup after their teas on Sunday.
New Drinks Range
The new range of beers on offer has been well received. You will now see San Miguel in place of Kronenbourg, Thatchers Gold in place of Cornish Orchard, Shipyard in place of Frontier and Youngs London Original as an addition. Thanks all for the feedback.
Upcoming Events & Socials
There’s lots still to look forward to in the last few weeks of the season.
The next Quiz night is on Friday 1st April, get your team together for what is always a fun evening.
Sunday 3rd April is our last Sunday lunch of the season, we will be serving roast beef with all the trimmings. Please email me on clubhouse@surbitonhc.com to book a place or a table.
There is already a buzz for the final weekend of home games on 9th April – hopefully the weather will be as glorious as it is at the moment and we can have a pop up bar outside. There’ll be a Mexican theme menu and DJ Lee will be here until 1am. It’s going to be a very busy day at the club so we are encouraging everyone to use public transport rather than driving where possible.
End of Season Tickets Now On Sale
End of Season tickets are now on sale via Teamo. The price is £50 for tickets bought before the 11th April. Any bought after that date will be £60 with a cut off date of 17th April for all bookings. Get your tables sorted and booked ASAP please. Over 18s only.
Holding Your Event at SHC
We have lots of private party bookings in the clubhouse over the next couple of months so please don’t assume the space will be free just because there are no club events on. If you are planning an event please let me know so I can ensure we have enough staff and stock.
Local News
Many of you will be aware that we have experienced some antisocial behaviour from youths in the woods. The police have been contacted and our local officer will endeavour to be more responsive and also provide a regular patrol.
