Emma Trunks Signs for Ladies 1s

Surbiton HC are pleased to announce that Emma Trunks has joined the Ladies 1s squad for the 2020/21 season.
Trunks, a defender, arrives at Surbiton after a successful spell with domestic rivals Holcombe HC. She was named in the EH Premier League Team of the Year in both the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons, and has also represented England at U21 level and for the indoor side. Trunks also has extensive experience with the Great Britain EDP squad and previously played a spell of club hockey in Sydney.
Trunks commented, “Surbiton have been so successful and have a staggering amount of quality in the Ladies first team, so to say I’m excited is an understatement! I’m looking forward to meeting up with the ladies and getting on the pitch at SHC very soon.”
Coach Brett Garrard is pleased to welcome Trunks to the Ladies 1s group: “Emma is a tenacious player and will bring further quality to our defensive line, as well adding to our ability to play incisive passes from back to front. She has been a key player for Holcombe over recent seasons and we look forward to seeing her in action as we get closer to starting the new season.”
