England’s Under-18 Girls cruised to victory over Ireland on Wednesday to earn a place in the EuroHockey Championships semi-finals in Santander, Spain.

England won 4-0, Molly Redgrove breaking the deadlock in the sixth minute with a penalty corner conversion. Seconds before half time, Sophie Hamilton doubled England’s lead from open play.

Two penalty corners from Rachel Greenwood in the third quarter enabled England to pull away, the goals coming in the 36th and 39th minutes.

Surbiton’s Izzy Petter was in the England starting line-up with Darcy Bourne coming on as a seventh minute substitute.
