Surbiton’s Under-16 Girls clinched their place in the Super 6s Championships semi-finals with a 3-2 win over Harleston Magpies.

All the goals came in a five minute period in the first half during which Surbiton built up a three goal lead before Harleston quickly pulled two goals back.

Lucy Clemmow opened the scoring in the fifth minute from the penalty spot and then doubled the lead with a sixth minute penalty corner conversion. Surbiton seemed to be in complete control in the eighth minute when Tamera Cookman scored from open play.

However Harleston Magpies fought back with two penalty corner conversions in the ninth and tenth minutes by Georgie Cantrell.

Repton’s final match against Cheltenham will decide who finishes first and second in the pool.
