The latest edition of The Hockey Paper is now out, with Surbiton Ladies’ captain Sarah Haycroft saying in a interview that England women have some “great leaders” and that having captained England in South Africa, she would relish taking on the role full time.

Surbiton’s Emily Defroand also describes the experience of playing for England for the first time.

Mike Haymonds reports on Surbiton Ladies’ 2-0 home win over Slough whilst Jack Miller reviews Surbiton Men’s come from behind 4-1 win at Beeston.

Mark Pearn is included in Jerome Goudie‘s Dream Team  and there’s also a report on Surbiton High School‘s Investec Girls Under-14 triumph at Lee Valley, the team coached by Surbiton Ladies’ Naomi Evans.

There are also thought provoking articles about the circumstances relating to re-registering players returning from the Hockey India League, and various people’s opinions on whether penalty corners are dangerous.
