Surbiton Hockey Club is pleased to announce that it is joining forces with established company Aspire USA in order to secure scholarships for their Colts players to play and study at American Universities.
Surbiton HC and Aspire USA have signed a three year contract with the intention of helping players find the perfect facility to develop both their education and hockey career.
Aspire USA Founder and former Scotland and Great Britain international, Holly Cram said about the partnership, “At Aspire USA, we work with some of the most exciting athletes in the UK to secure them a scholarship to attend University in the USA. With the opportunity to train as a full-time athlete and simultaneously study for a world-class degree, it’s a unique and life changing opportunity.”
Cram added, “We have an unmatched success rate and have placed at the top institutions in the US from Harvard to Stanford and everything else in between. We pride ourselves on our bespoke service and work with a huge range of Universities across NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and NJCAA until we ensure the very best fit both academically and athletically for each of our clients.”
On the partnership with Surbiton, Cram concluded, “We are thrilled to be in partnership with Surbiton Hockey Club, a premier club in Europe. With Aspire USA’s expert knowledge and extensive networks in the US and Surbiton’s talented youth programme we are sure this partnership will be a huge success.”
Surbiton’s Hockey Club’s Director of Colts Hockey, Will Fulker said, “The USA college hockey system is a unique opportunity for our young female players to go to university and become student athletes. Whilst our players know college hockey exists it is great to have Aspire USA help our players to make the most of these opportunities. Aspire will provide the platform for these players and guide them through the lengthy process which will ultimately culminate in more of our talented youngsters becoming student athletes.
