Scotland Men, including Surbiton’s Alan Forsyth, Nick Parkes and William Marshall have qualified for the Hockey World League semi-final tournament to be held at Lee Valley from 15-25 July 2017.

Scotland finished third at the Round 2 tournament in Belfast and have qualified as one of the two highest ranked third place finishers after Russia defeated the USA to finish third in the last Round 2 tournament in Trinidad and Tobago.

Scotland are now ranked 23rd in the World Rankings and have qualified for the HWL semi-finals for the first time in their history.

Scotland Men’s Head Coach, Derek Forsyth said, “I’m delighted that we have qualified for World League semi-finals. It was a tremendous effort by the team and staff in Belfast and they thoroughly deserve the opportunity to play in London. We’re looking forward to coming up against some of the best teams in the world. ”
