Scotland Men, captained by Surbiton’s Nick Parkes, got their FIH Series Finals campaign up and running with a 5-0 win over Singapore in Le Touquet, France on Sunday.
Having lost 4-2 to Ireland in their opening pool match, Scotland wasted no time in opening the scoring, Cameron Golden converting a penalty corner in the third minute.
Golden doubled Scotland’s lead from open play in the 14th minute.
By half time, Scotland led 3-0, Edward Greaves scoring in the 24th minute.
Singapore fell further behind in the 42nd minute when Kenny Bain got on the scoresheet and he was joined by Andy Bull five minutes later as Singapore failed to defend a penalty corner.
