Applications for New Colts Membership.  

Prospective new members wishing to join in September 2018 for the new season should apply online using the drop down box in the link below which will be available from the end of  June.  Nobody is allowed to take part in sessions without their applications for membership being approved.  Once your application is received you will be contacted by the membership secretary about your membership.  Payment details and other relevant information will be provided once the application has been approved and you are registered.  You will not be asked for payment when you initially apply for membership.

We are NOT operate a waiting list for our membership.

Colts  in years 1, 2 & 3 will  be offered 2 x 1-hour sessions per week with the Sunday morning sessions for the skills training and the Monday evening sessions for games.  We encourage new members to sign up for both sessions.  One session only is by arrangement and prospective applicants will need to contact the membership secretary.  Children in year 4 and above are offered two sessions per week, with the midweek sessions lasting 1.5 hours.  Children are expected to attend both sessions.

Please note that membership subscription payments are adjusted pro rata during the season but will only be adjusted after each half term.  The tables below are for the full season subscriptions.  


The details you submitted previously are already stored on the database. We assume you are remaining in membership unless we are advised otherwise.  Existing members will be sent renewal details.    Please do not create a new entry, but you do need to update your details each season. Your registration includes Child Protection consent forms which parents and guardians are required to complete each season. Please see Child Protection Policies and Codes of Conduct here.  It is assumed you have accepted the Child Protection policies and given consent when you have paid your subscription each season.  It is also important for revised GDPR rules that consent is given.  Our Privacy Policies can be viewed here.

All existing members should have their passwords and usernames from last season, but please contact us if you are having difficulty logging in. Your username is your email address and if you have lost your password then please request a new password from the system and it will be emailed directly to you. We recommend you change this to something more personal.

Pay online  (preferred option) or by bank transfer.

There is also the facility on the database to upload a photo to a Surbiton HC membership card which you can then print out.

The training schedule for the season is available to view on the Colts Training page.  This schedule may be subject to minor alteration and may differ for the first two weeks of term in September to ensure that all groups are properly assessed.

Please note that the Colts membership fee includes a social membership for Colts parents.   This enables other non-hockey-playing members of the family to enjoy the social facilities available at Surbiton Hockey Club throughout the year.

The subscription entitles you to membership of Surbiton HC for a full year  eg 1st September 2018 to 31st August 2019.  It covers hockey coaching and playing from September until Easter, but any Summer Term Hockey is optional and will be charged as an extra activity.

Members who are aged 17 and 18 years old and in the sixth form (or equivalent) at school will be registered as Colts and will be able to play and train in U18 squads as well as with the Senior Club. please register for the Colts Sixth Form category – even if you are only playing senior hockey!  Your details will also be added to the senior database on Fixtures Live.

Colts U7 – U8 Junior Academy (School years 1 to 3) Sundays and weekdays £230.00

How to Pay

Colts subscriptions must be paid by 1st September 2018 at the latest, unless the member has joined after the start of the season.   The facility to pay in instalments is not available for Colts subscriptions.  

1. Online Payments using PayPal/Debit Card

Our online registration system uses PayPal and also offers the option for debit/credit card payment.  You can pay online via the Colts database using this.

2. Direct Bank Transfer

Please mark your payment with your child’s name as a reference (just a surname is not very helpful as we often have several children with the same name!).

3. Credit Cards or Bank Cards at the SHC Bar

You can still use the Streamline machine at the Bar to make your subscription payment, although this method is not a preferred option.

4. Cheques and Cash

We do not use cheques or cash for subscription payments but will accept these in a few cases by arrangement.

* Family membership may be available on request if a family has at least one adult playing member and more than two children.

* SHC will deal with individual cases of financial hardship on request.
