SURBITON HC REGISTRATION
We welcome any potential new members throughout the season (both playing and social).
Surbiton HC is the largest hockey club in the UK, with over 1,200 members to date. Our membership comprises international players, social players, vets players, junior internationals, junior social players and social members. Social membership is available for those who are keen to be involved but do not wish to play hockey. There are numerous other ways to get involved at the Club from volunteering to fundraising, coaching and umpiring.
It is essential that every member of Surbiton Hockey Club, whether playing or social, completes the relevant registration forms online and agrees to the terms and conditions of membership.
We have separate registration processes for our Senior Players and for our Colts.
Please go to the Seniors or the Colts Membership pages for more details of our subscription fees for the season, how to register with Surbiton HC and how to pay.
Senior re-registration is from the 1st September and membership runs throughout the year, providing winter training, coaching and hockey matches, and in the summer, friendlies, summer leagues and evening “run-arounds” as timetabled. You can register at any time throughout the summer. Please select the category of membership most applicable to you when registering.
The Colts training and playing season starts in September and runs through until April. SHC offers Colts from age 10 upwards a 1.5 hour skills training session during the week, with games and matches on Sundays. Our youngest members (U7, U8 and U9) in the Junior Academy train only on a Sunday morning, although U9s will be given an option for some weekday training this season too. Training and matches take place in the autumn and spring terms. Additional summer hockey opportunities are offered too and there are regular holiday camps throughout the year although these are all payable in addition to the membership fee. A Colts membership at SHC will run for the full academic year. SHC caters for children of all abilities and operates an equal opportunities policy.
