Surbiton’s Tim Atkins scored for Scotland but the USA won the second of three test matches 3-1 in Glasgow on Monday to level the Atlantic Series at 1-1 with one game to play.
After a goalless first quarter, Sean Cicchi gave the USA the lead in the 19th minute before Atkins converted a penalty corner five minutes to equalise for Scotland. Jonathan Orozoco restored the American lead two minutes before half time with Pat Harris scoring the only goal of the second half in the 39th minute to give the USA the win.
Surbiton’s Willie Marshall returned to the Scottish squad after being rested for the first match and joined Atkins in the starting lineup.
After a rest day on Tuesday, the series concludes on Wednesday (11 July).
