Five Surbiton Men players have been included in Head Coach Danny Kerry’s first Great Britain selection for the Anniversary International against Belgium on 3 October at Lee Valley.

The match, in partnership with Toshiba TVs is the second of a two match series which commences on 2 October in front of several invited schoolchildren. Surbiton’s Zach Wallace could make his international debut during the series.

Goalkeeper Harry Gibson, Luke Taylor, James Gall and Alan Forsyth, who scored twice against Wimbledon last Saturday are the other Surbiton representatives in the squad.

Kerry said, “It’s great to recognise the 1988 team’s success in this fixture. For the current GB squad we will be using it to look at developing our play, our combinations and our understanding of the playing group looking to both the World Cup and the FIH Pro League starting in January.

Kerry added, “Belgium are an excellent team with excellent players and there will no doubt be plenty of exciting hockey on show.”
